What does it do?
It’s a puzzle game. It challenges you optimize your planning and organizational skills. Theres also a leaderboard that allows users to compete across app stores.
Why do we need it?
We deserve better app store games. The current model of spamming ads and getting people to pay hundreds of dollars for in-game currency is not what I love about games. I want to give people an option for cheap, fun games made with passion.
Who is it for?
Merge can be played casually or extremely competitively, this opens its audience up to most smartphone users. I’ve found competitive people tend to enjoy it more because they love seeing their name on the leaderboard.
What makes it stand out from the crowd?
The gameplay, the leaderboard, the payment model. There are 3 different game modes, different everytime, different daily, and mostly the same. Theres a ton of variety in similar mechanics. A leaderboard across app stores is awesome! $0.99!
What’s next?
This is my first app and first publicly released game. I’m going to start my next game Rise now, hoping to release in late fall. I’m also going to take some time to learn illustration so I can make amazing characters in future games.
