Company / App Name: Keys for Safari

What does it do?

Keys for Safari is a Safari extension that enables users to navigate web pages using just their keyboard. Unlike other such extensions, it renders keys stylishly within the page to provide the best user experience.

Why do we need it?

Power users will appreciate the speed to be gained when they don’t have to continually reach for their mouse and drag a tiny cursor back and forth. It’s not meant as an accessibility extension, but I’d be happy to provide that.

Who is it for?

Power users: people who want to navigate the web at lightning speed.

What makes it stand out from the crowd?

Other such extensions use floating yellow tags. This method does not work well with scrolling, is ugly, and it can be confusing to know what tag corresponds to which element. Keys renders the key stylishly and simply.

What’s next?

I have implemented the ability to make site-specific classes, which (as more sites are customized) will improve the experience on common websites. I also plan to port Keys to Firefox and other non-Chromium browsers.
