What does it do?

Colormind creates cohesive, pleasing color schemes for designers and developers. It can generate completely *unique* color schemes using a deep neural net.

Why do we need it?

Designers often use other sources of media as inspiration – film, photography, classical art and architecture. Colormind does this in a single click, by training on separate datasets of millions of images and videos.

Who is it for?

As a designer color schemes are the hardest part of the design process, and I often use color tools for inspiration
Unlike other services, colormind understands context – give it a starting color and it can fill out the rest of the palette

What makes it stand out from the crowd?

Other services rely on user-uploaded palettes where as Colormind can create new palettes from scratch. Colormind is context aware and can create palettes based on your input.

What’s next?

The subject of automation and job loss is a trending topic in tech media, but one of the areas we thought human labor was safe – creativity and design – is really no longer safe due to GANs. The end goal is a “thegrid.io” product that works
