What does it do?
TaxiMe is an online taxi estimation iPhone app that takes the guesswork out of estimating your taxi fare. It’s not just any estimation app, it’s extremely smart and takes important things into consideration when performing an estimation
Why do we need it?
Currently, it’s difficult to get an estimation on taxi fares. If you call a taxi company, the operators will use their best guest, but only if you’re travelling between main landmarks.
Who is it for?
TaxiMe is not only for anyone who takes a taxi, it’s also useful for taxi drivers and taxi operators.
What makes it stand out from the crowd?
Our idea is unique in that no other taxi estimation app is taking into consideration factors like: traffic, weather and time of day when doing an estimation. We also have a public API – this is a first for the taxi estimation world.
What’s next?
We’re planning to iterate over the iPhone app, develop an Android version and expand our API.
