What does it do?
STD Risk Calculator tells you the chances you got an STD. Basically, you enter in some details of what you did sexually and it shows you the chances of having a sexually-transmitted infection. It works for all the major STDs!
Why do we need it?
People often have no clue what their risks actually are. Depending on the circumstances, the odds of infection can vary from 1/million to 1/10. The App gives people personalized estimates of infection based on what they did sexually.
Who is it for?
It is for anyone who is sexually active, although the focus is probably on the younger generation, as the non-chronic sexual infections are more common for them.
What makes it stand out from the crowd?
Nobody has done anything like this. Our app uses scientific research to give you your actual odds of infection and all information relevant to computing these odds is taken into account. Competing products are not nearly as sophisticated.
What’s next?
We just published an Android app and we have got more Apps on the way. For example, we are aiming for iOS in the near future! The algorithm behind the App is continually improving as well as new research becomes available.
