What does it do?
Beanbag aims to connect people by like interests – think meetups meets yik yak. Users engage with the app by, first, creating a “beanbag” which is an idea for a group they’d like others using the app to join.
Why do we need it?
This app will connect like-people that might otherwise would not have met
Who is it for?
This app is best suited for users of college-age as a Meetups alternative. The app is less formal and groups can be started and ended on a whim. Besides, it’s free to use.
What makes it stand out from the crowd?
The app has a few features that make it different:
a) beanbags have a size limit which the user sets when upon creation.
b) it aggragates users to groups based on proximity such that members will be close enough to meet, if they chose
What’s next?
Currently it’s all about getting people to try the app by going after a college demographic. With users, all else is possible
