What does it do?
TimeZoneMate is a world clock and a timezone converter combined into a simple and snappy web application. Users can add multiple timezones and quickly check time or convert time across all of those timezones.
Why do we need it?
Globalization make it quite common to have families or colleagues in other timezones. Moreover, tech workers often need to maintain systems running in other regions. Having an easy way to track time / convert time across regions is useful.
Who is it for?
It is targeted for professionals who work with people across timezones or people who just maintain systems outside their timezones. It is also useful for families spread across timezones.
What makes it stand out from the crowd?
1. TimeZoneMate supports conversion across multiple timezones at once unlike other tools.
2. Natural input like ‘3pm’, ‘4a’ supported.
2. Client-side only code and so works offline. Also makes it useful in countries where data is expensive.
What’s next?
Creating a meeting friendly interface. Users can select a range (like 3 PM – 4 PM PST) and see what time it maps to in other timezones so they can make sure they are setting up meetings in reasonable timeframes for everyone.
