Company / App Name: Screenly
What does it do?
Screenly makes it painless to display content, such as images, videos and web pages on a remote screen using the Raspberry Pi. Simply pair the screen with our cloud interface, and begin pushing content to the screen.
Why do we need it?
Screens are everywhere today. In retail, at office walls and in our streets. Too many of these devices are insecure, expensive and hard to manage. Screenly set out to fix this using commodity hardware (the Raspberry Pi) and a modern stack.
Who is it for?
Screenly already powers over 10,000 screens around the world. The industry range from SMBs to Fortune 1000 companies. What they all have in common is that they want to display some sort of content on a remote screen without fuzz.
What makes it stand out from the crowd?
Screenly was the first digital signage solution for the Raspberry Pi. We have partnered with industry heavy weights, such as Ubuntu and NEC to ensure that we deliver on our promise to be secure, stable and user friendly.
Right now the Screenly team is working hard on putting the final touches on our next generation player which pushes the Raspberry Pi hardware further than anyone ever pushed it in the digital signage space.
