Through crowd-sourcing, legaltrot helps connect lawyers with other lawyers, law students, paralegals, and other legal paraprofessionals for project-based assignments as well as court call coverage.

Why do we need it?

The majority of law firms (63%) are considered small firms (2-9 attorneys) or solo practitioners. These firms are often faced with a lack of funds to adequately staff a practice.

Who is it for?

Lawyers, paralegals, and law students. Anyone really who is involved in the legal community who would normally work in a law office and is search for extra income via project-based assignments.

What makes it stand out from the crowd?

legaltrot provides a platform for lawyers, law students, and paralegals to post and seek project-based assignments as well as for Court Calls. Lawyers can both post projects as well as seek projects. Law students can find short-term gigs.

What’s next?

legaltrot plans on adding Court Coverage beyond Illinois by the end of September. Projects for Medical Nurse Consultants, Mediators, Process Servers, and Court Reporters will also be added as legaltrot continues to add users.
