What does it do?

tweet580 allows you to bypass twitter’s 140 character limit, it does this by posting a tweet, with a photo attachment. That contains text that is formatted to look like a continuation of the previous text.

Why do we need it?

In most cases 140 characters is more than enough. However, there is the occasional tweet that deserves to exist but isn’t aloud to because it is too long. This app was developed to bring those tweets to the world.

Who is it for?

This app is for anyone who uses Twitter, more specifically, it is for Twitter users who find themselves limited by Twitter’s character limit. It is for people who have something to say that doesn’t always fit in 140 characters.

What makes it stand out from the crowd?

There is nothing else like this app on the App Store. Many users post screenshots of their notepad or unsent tweets to get around the character limit. This app does the same thing but looks much better, and is easier to tweet with.

What’s next?

We are currently working on making a better UI. After that there are several features we plan to add. Including: different types of pictures, saving drafts, better support for hashtags, and allowing users to directly reply to a tweet.
