What does it do?

Tape is the simplest, smartest way to create fun and engaging videos with friends. It allows users to weave together narratives and showcase talents by shooting video clips on their mobile devices or pulling from the tape community.

Why do we need it?

With the rise of social media, video, and photo apps we have been bombarded with “selfies” and meaningless statuses. Tape battles this constant narcissism by changing the focus from “My Story” to “Our Story”.

Who is it for?

This app is for everyone. It started out with a focus on comedy and funny videos yet has quickly been utilized by users to promote charities, celebrate their friends, voice their angers and so on. Tape is for anyone and everyone.

What makes it stand out from the crowd?

The main feature that stands out from Instagram, Vine, Snapchat is that Tape allows the user to pull and post clips to the tape community. This results in collaborative videos as well as videos that show multiple perspectives.

What’s next?

The founders are constantly improving the usability of the app and making it easier and easier to use. The next bug update will come out in a few weeks and will streamline the app for optimal usage.
