What does it do?

SkillsUp is a free, revolutionary marketplace to share skills through local in-person classes.

Why do we need it?

There are numerous products out there for formal learning, but few that offer practical hands-on instruction for skills that don’t necessarily require a classroom to learn.

Who is it for?

Anyone interested in growing! The courses you will find on SkillsUp are as diverse as the communities in which we live. From tutoring to tapestry weaving, the possibilities are endless. It’s also a great way to meet people in your area.

What makes it stand out from the crowd?

There are many online places for courses, some even taught by peers. But none that are free and focus on facilitating community engagement, learning, and social interaction.

What’s next?

We are getting ready to go live, and have a splash page up for taking invitation requests. We’re targeting two or three cities initially to build the community, but are implementing systems that will facilitate organic growth as well.
