What does it do?

Sidus is a 3D compass. It uses the camera, gyroscope, and compass within the phone to help the user locate waypoints. For example, if the user was on top of a mountain, they could set a waypoint for another peak they would like to identify.

Why do we need it?

The app gives the user the ability to seamlessly locate things throughout their life. The user has the ability to mark their car as a waypoint, or plug in an address, or use a default waypoint group.

Who is it for?

The app was originally designed for hikers to decide what peaks are what, but then it became so much more. Anyone who has trouble locating things is perfect for Sidus.

What makes it stand out from the crowd?

An app that allows the user to use their phone to place waypoints in their line of sight (the camera) is something from the future. The ability to always know where everything is is almost a super power.

What’s next?

As more people start to use the app and suggest waypoint groups, the default possibilities will expand. Also, as feedback starts to come in through the app store, the UI and other functionality will be improved. It can only get better.
