Why do we need it?
We cannot trust the privacy of major providers, so PassLok allows us to take privacy into our own hands. Every app that involves a server has the potential to breach your privacy. PassLok is completely client-based, even for video.
Who is it for?
Everyone who values privacy, even at the expense of some inconvenience. Many people use email everyday and many wish it was truly private, but few are willing to use cryptography, because it was so hard to use. Until now.
What makes it stand out from the crowd?
You do not need to make an account or store anything secret. You can walk to a library or borrow a phone, and use PassLok as in your own computer. PassLok is super-secure, easy to use, fast, small, and free.
What’s next?
The success of PassLok depends on creating a network of users, which depends on people knowing about it. Apps with lesser capabilities (Mailvelope, minilock, SnapChat) have created substantial networks thanks to media exposure.
