Company / App Name: One-Hand Keyboard

Twitter – onehandkeyboard

What does it do?

A one-hand keyboard layout for people who are already two-hand typists. Uses your existing muscle memory, so it’s extremely easy to learn. Use this layout to stay productive while you are injured.

Why do we need it?

If you injure your finger, hand, or arm, you suddenly won’t be able to touch type. Typing is an essential skill at your job, your school, and in your personal life. Your productivity will plummet.

Who is it for?

Primarily for touch-typists with temporary injuries. Is your arm in a cast for 6 weeks? Use One-Hand Keyboard to type while you recover.

Also for those with permanent injuries, such as amputees or stroke victims.

What makes it stand out from the crowd?

Other one-hand layouts fall into two camps: expensive hardware and/or hard-to-learn layouts. One-Hand Keyboard is all software, use it on any computer. And the layout is based on your existing muscle memory, so it’s very easy to learn.

What’s next?

A Mac app is coming soon. Will be adding a pop-up interface to aid one-hand typing. Continuous improvement of the included dictionaries and predictive-text algorithms.
