Pitch for JSCalc
Company / App Name: JSCalc
https://jscalc.io
Twitter – https://twitter.com/ivan7237d
What does it do?
JSCalc makes it easy to create a custom online calculator by writing a Javascript function that transforms inputs into outputs.
Why do we need it?
It takes care of user interface and hosting, so even for a web developer who knows how to build apps with frameworks like Angular, the task of creating a calculator is made much easier.
Who is it for?
Anyone looking to build a calculator and who either knows Javascript or is willing to learn the basics of it.
What makes it stand out from the crowd?
The main competition that I know of is online spreadsheets, e.g. Google Sheets + Google’s script, but in a number of ways JSCalc is more suited for the purpose of creating an online calculator.
What’s next?
Currently JSCalc is in beta, it is open-source and free to use. If it generates enough interest, I will add a pro plan, while all the current functionality will continue to be free.
