What does it do?

Diabetes Assistant is a beautiful app which helps diabetics to master their everyday life with diabetes. Therefore the app provides several features like blood glucose and meal diaries, reminders and data export functionality.

Why do we need it?

Being just three days out there on the market, I already got positive feedback via email about the ease of use and the provided functionality. I believe Diabetes Assistant could help many diabetics globally – and it’s free.

Who is it for?

The app is intended for “common” diabetics who have to monitor their blood glucose levels and their carbohydrate consumption.

What makes it stand out from the crowd?

Diabetes Assistant is (as far as I believe) the only diabetes app on the market which features the iOS 7 design. The app is easy-to-use and not overloaded by heavy features which most diabetics don’t need.

What’s next?

I am planning to release an iPad version in 2014 as well as iCloud (or Dropbox) synchronization. Previous to that, I am planning to release more localizations (currently there are 5) with a special focus on Asia and Northern Europe.
