What does it do?

Started in 2015, Black Barber Review is a haircut bookings website where people can locate, book and review barbers who cut Afro-Carribean hair across the London region. The website launched in July 2016 and we are fast gaining traction.

Why do we need it?

The idea for this website was birthed out of a negative experience the founder had whilst getting a haircut. Often with going to a barber for the first time it is a process of trial and error, our review system helps to lower this risk. We

Who is it for?

The product is aimed at two users, barbers who use the site to promote their services and receive bookings and also the end consumer, typically a tech-savvy Afro-Caribbean male who is browsing and looking for a haircut.

What makes it stand out from the crowd?

The product is the first of it’s kind for the Afro-Caribbean community in the UK and the functionality of our site is very advanced. We believe this will be our key advantage going forward, as we are the first movers in this space.

What’s next?

Our short term aims are to have a minimum of 100 barber listings on the site by year-end as we believe it is important for users to have a wide variety of choice. Will then look at expanding the reach of the site beyond London.
