Company / App Name: Kidminder – Saving Children’s Lives

http://kidminder.org

What does it do?

Kidminder uses an array of sensors to attach to a child’s car seat. If the parent walks away from the car seat when the child is still inside of the car seat, it will send a notification to the parent and their emergency contacts.

Why do we need it?

Each year, over 10,000 children are injured due to being forgotten in hot vehicles. In addition to that, one child dies every nine days due to vehicular heatstroke. That number is way to high, and that was why Kidminder was created.

Who is it for?

This system is for parents, babysitters, nanny, grandparents, and many more groups! The system is installed in any car seat that you’d like, so it’s easy for anybody to install. You can easily install the application and get notified.

What makes it stand out from the crowd?

Our system is the only one of its type. Other systems remind you every time you leave your vehicle, making you desensitized to it over time. Our system is the only one that can be installed on any car seat and has emergency contacts.

When and how are you opening up your beta to new users?

We will begin beta testing within 9 months. We must refine our sensors and get them out to the public for beta testing. We will be sending test units to specific users for beta testing. More information will be available on kidminder.org

When do you plan on launching?

We plan on fully launching our product in around one year from now. While it may seem like a long time from now, it will be a fully complete and refined system with a fully packaged version and completed application.
